Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Today is a great day to have a great day. With that being said this has been yet another challenging week for me. Do NOT think that just because the week has been a challenge that it hasn’t also been fun. It has had its ups and downs. So what has this week brought? Let’s dive into it.
Friday Wellness Check
The early part of the week started off rough. Valentine’s Day I started with a pre scheduled therapy session. It was a little rough. That morning I could barely get out of the bed. I had lots to do and thankfully after my session I felt so much better. My therapist gave me some new things to do. I will be having my doctor involved. When I called my doctor’s office the receptionist said to me that she hopes I feel better, I mattered, they want me here, and that emergency appointments are available. I hope if you have ever had to talk to your doctor’s office that they tell you those same reminders especially if you are calling about anything mental health related. I encourage all especially in these Winter months do what is best for them.
Blogs you May have Missed-Friday Recap
I have been a little more spotty with blogs these last 2 weeks. I am in a healing journey. My blogs will get more consistent as time goes by. With that being said here is what you missed:

Volvér Philadelphia: Chef In Residency, Tonii Hicks
I love what Volvér is doing with the Chefs in Residency. This time they brought in Tonii Hicks. Tonii is an amazing chefs incorporating the taste of Black culture. I loved it. She is unapologetically her. No pretending. When I saw that she was one of the chefs I knew I had to clear my schedule to accommodate and I wasn’t disappointed in the least bit. The food was absolutely delicious.

Happy Birthday to my Youngest, Noelle
It’s my little one’s big day. She is the most amazing child. I love celebrating each of my children’s days. They know they wake up to balloons and more to celebrate their day. I love being their mom. If you read our story on her birth you know that I almost died after having her. I lost so much blood, had a blood clot in my brain, and was bleeding internally. It was a nightmare. However when all was said and done I had the best gift a Mother could have and that was my youngest daughter.
I do not take for granted that she is a force to be reckoned with. In addition to her fierceness she is also gentle, loving, and knows what she wants. I pray I nurture her and my other 2 to be the best humans they possibly can be. With that being said, Happy birthday!
Well that is what has gone down this week along with theatre reviews. I will be posting the reviews starting this afternoon and tomorrow. In addition I will be at quite a few media events this weekend so stay tuned. Have a great weekend and happy Friday.
