Happy Friday and cheers to the weekend. Today is a great day to have a great day! There will be no podcast another week because I wanted to let my voice rest. We will have a guest next Friday! Here’s the things that took place this week.
New Month: Friday Joys
So December is here. This means that we are expecting new goals this month. From enjoying new experiences, holiday fun, or getting ready for 1st quarter, this is the time to do it all. I can’t get over the fact that we are now in a new month. Here’s our opportunity to make things the way that we need or want. Take charge of your mental health. This is a hard time already for so many. People will experience the depth of loss this month. Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or even deeply sad are all real emotions.
Stag and Doe Night
I was invited to attend Stag and Doe Night with Chestnut Hill. It was a wonderful experience. Back in the day there used to be stag night. During stag night men would come, drink, eat, and buy gifts for their wives or woman friends. Women decided that men didn’t need to be the only one in on the fun and thus Stag and Doe night was made. It’s also a way to celebrate small businesses in the area. There were so many options. Unique gifts that fit every budget!
We walked, spoke to Santa, drank, and had dinner at El Poquito. I really enjoyed the relaxing walk around the block. Every shop owner was welcoming. Since you missed it do not fret. You can do this upcoming Wednesday! I’ll definitely remind.
New York State of Mind: Friday Recap
In addition to the media events that took place this week I also took a day trip to New York. Went to support our network with SheMedia and BlogHer. They have been so supportive of me and the other writers and content creators. It was good to meet a few I hadn’t known. We met at Ink 48 Hotel. The bar called Print Bar was beautiful. Let’s talk anxiety. I had already conquered my fear of driving around in New York a few years ago. My fear of going to New York alone was also conquered! This time I was able to conquer my fear of taking the subway into the city.
My girl and I, Nikki of Nikki Connected went together. We drove and did the park and ride. It probably was the best option because it only took a few minutes of being on the train to get to Penn Station. However being in New York is a lot of fun but it’s the city with the hardest hustlers. So being aware of your surroundings is a must! We had the most amazing time.
Podcast Recording
Now just because I haven’t brought you an episode doesn’t mean I haven’t been preparing for the new episodes. Before I got sick I recorded 2 episodes. We got you covered next week on intimacy, mental health and self care! So be on the lookout. In the meantime listen to the podcast that resonates with you the most.
This week is full of media and family events. The next few weeks are coming in hard and heavy! Also I’ll be traveling next weekend too. I’ll take you along trust me! Have a great weekend. I got a new blogs for the weekend! Enjoy and happy Friday!
