Cheers to Friday! Also cheers to the weekend! It’s Easter weekend which makes tbis weekend even more special for those who celebrate it! Long week of course filled with meetings and deadlines but I’m grateful to have met them all! So let’s recap it!
P’unk Burger
I took my favorite Girl Scouts to P’unk Burger to try their Girl Scouts inspired milkshakes. It was good. The best part was I too was able to enjoy them too. They come in vegan and non vegan options. They taste just like the cookie! The burger and milkshake combos are not to be missed. P’unk Burger is located at 1823 Passyunk Avenue in Philadelphia! So if you’re in the area try one!
Easter Bunny Brunch
We were asked to attend the live showcase of the Easter Bunny Brunch for Hawthornes Beer Cafe. It was truly a fun time! From the great food, social distanced bubble, drinks, and of course the Easter Bunny himself, a great time was had by all! Hawthornes is having this special this Saturday and Sunday from 9-4pm! It’s 10 PP and food and drinks are pay as you dine. The price includes a picture with the bunny and a goodie bag for each child! Make sure you see the recap video.
Blogs You May Have Missed
I know we can’t sit on our phones day in and day out but here are the blogs you may have missed. We talked about Teneral Cellars wine, rainy day activities for the family, party fun for your favorite dinosaur kid, Women’s History Month recap, Big Time at the Zoo and of course Monday Motivation
Monday Motivation taking care of yourself
So we have been writing. In the Big Time blog there’s a YouTube link included so you can watch the recap!
It’s been a very busy week as you can see!
Big Time at the Zoo
We attended the media day for Big Time at the Philadelphia Zoo. All social distanced practices were followed. Big Time is a new exhibit of scaled to life dinosaurs. Kids of all ages will love it!
Items in my Cart
Due to it being Easter weekend I must admit my scrolling hand has been a little heavy. However I did manage to always support small business. I purchased more hair care from Carmella Marie! If you remember that name we did a full blog on her for Women’s History Month!
Thank you Carmella for that beautiful face mask you included with my purchase!
Conversations with Toi
Today being Friday means a new episode is out! Today is National Reconciliation Day. A day to reflect on forgiveness. It’s not an easy thing for so many. Here is the episode as well as the blog!
Vaccinated-symptoms?
I got my final vaccination and originally after the second I was fine. After I took some Tylenol as soon as I got home to avoid the symptoms of the first shot, I felt sick. I had back to back meetings and fought through to finish. However about midnight after I uploaded the podcast, I got chills, fever, increased pain at the injection site as well as body aches. However I’ve been saying this from day one, that has to be a walk in the park for those who have gotten Covid.
Easter Weekend Ahead
This weekend is filled with Easter joy! I’m still not going to anyone’s traditional church. I’ll be online. I’m not dressing up in the house either. I’ll have my traditional Easter t-shirt as well as making a big meal for the family. I’ll be eating some vegan approved candy while watching the kids eat out of their baskets. This year I decided to have someone else make them. Self-care is about delegating. I supported a local woman owned business, Kelly’s Kandy. This is the first year I bought Easter baskets. Instead of pushing myself to no end, I elected to have one less thing on my plate. I still will to the traditional Easter bunny paws from their rooms to the baskets, dyeing of eggs, and Easter egg hunt, etc.
In the midst of all of the fun this weekend has to offer content is still being produced. My plan is to have this weeks set ahead and the week after so I can have a little downtime as we step into April! I hope you had a great week as well as have an amazing weekend! Until next time…..
Also enjoy this week’s Reels and Tik Tok (s)-I don’t know who I am these days but I’m learning to step into a little creativity!
