Who does a newsletter and a February recap at the end of the month? I haven’t decided if I will do this at the end of the month or the beginning. Either way there was a lot going on in February. I will also give you the events that I am aware of as well. February brought in love and loss for my home.
Self-Love in February
I am so glad to know that so many really did well with taking care of themselves this month. It could be the state of the world or just that people are getting comfortable with the thought of what self-love can do. I love that for all of us. We all need self-love. You become a better person when you can tap into the things that you need and pursue it. Here are ways you can continue self-love:

February Winter Seasonal Depression Newsletter Edition
I have blogged before that Seasonal Depression can come at any time. We equate it to Winter since in the wintertime we experience longer periods of darkness. The darkness along with less daytime hours can make seasonal depression seem more prominent. We are on the other side. This could be a relief. I hope that it is. If you find that even with Spring on its way that it is becoming too much to manage, I need you to consider talking to someone. If you have never started this here are a few things you can do. One, if you have a job that has an Employee Assistance Program or EAP go through them to obtain free sessions.

They will make sure that they find someone that accepts your health insurance. This way you can continue without switching when the free services are over. If you do not have EAP, go, and make an appointment to your physician. Ask them to make a wellness check appointment. Appointments too far off? Wake up and call early in the morning for an emergency appointment and let the people know you are having a mental health issue that needs to be seen. For more tips read what to know about therapy.
Things to look forward to in Philly for the rest of February
Mermaids have landed at Adventure Aquarium. I love this event and highly recommend for all ages. In addition to mermaids is Winter in Franklin Square. Think mini golf and more in the winter for a little outside fun. This is the last weekend for Winter at Dilworth Park. Come and ice skate and more. This is a magnificent event for all ages.

Great ways to do Solo activities for February
Now that we are closing out the month, I am encouraging you to visit an art museum, go to a new local bookstore, try a new restaurant. In addition, here are more activities that you don’t need an entourage to make happen:
- Take a cooking class
- Hike
- Gardening
- Start a new hobby
Happy February! This is this month’s newsletter. Keep on going! Spring is on its way!
