Happy December. As we walk into the last month of the year you may be feeling overwhelmed, ready, or just a sense of frustration or excitement. December being here means that we have had a full year to do the things that we wanted, try our hand at some new things, or maybe even failed at a few things too. Whatever is going keep in mind that you can make the best of it.
December Goal Setting
You can make the best of your month by doing things like organizing and getting ready for the first quarter. First quarter is not made when January 1st comes. So the time is now. What is your vision? For me I love to work on my vision board in the month of December. I start looking at my goals that I missed or didn’t align. In addition, to the old goals that weren’t accomplished I also check to see if those goals even make sense. Sometimes a “failure” of a goal that didn’t work may come from the fact that we made a goal that isn’t even for us. Think about that. Not all of our imagined goals, work. So when you think you have failed, it may be from a goal that isn’t in the timing.
Keep the Fun Going

Wellness for the Winter Months
I don’t know if you are like me and struggle the most in the Winter months. As it gets colder and those early dark nights seem to play a game on my mindset. From not feeling as motivated to work out, seasonal depression, and more the winter is definitely a time to get more centered. With the new year everyone talks about yearly goals but what about monthly or weekly check ins? I use a more precise check in to help me in the winter. For instance I have a specific journal where I write down goals and check in. There’s nothing fancy about it. I notebook that I use a colored system or highlighter to highlight the goals I did or didn’t do for the week.
It’s something about seeing a yellow highlighter that showcases what I haven’t done. I write next to it why I didn’t accomplish. From not being as focused, or more helps me manage my time. Have you ever used a journal to track your goals for the week? In the winter doing this helps keep me grounded.
Get Moving in December
Do NOT wait until January to start moving. The gyms will be super packed in January for those jumpstarting those healthy goals. I have no issues with it. Start moving now. Get into the habit of moving a few times a week. For instance if you can’t afford to join a gym, no worries. YouTube has plenty of free workouts for all kinds of workout styles. Also stores like Five Below has amazing and cheap workout gear and instruments. Buy a stepper. I have one and I love it. You don’t have to be a pro to use it. The point is to start moving. A little tip-move while you watch television. I used to use my stepper and move during a show. This will keep you moving and fully distracted in a good way.
So happy December. We welcome all of the fun, sweet treats and more. I know we want to be super guilty about having a little fun, letting our hair down and more. Do it all in moderation. Be clear about your goals. Say NO. Show up for those who show up for you. Balance the spending. Enjoy your month!
