Dave and Buster’s has your Summer time fun ready for you and your tribe. I went to the preview of their menu as well as played the games. I take my kids at least once a year if not more. However I haven’t experienced Dave and Buster’s like I did at the preview since my 20s. So what is there to look forward to.
Dave and Buster’s Tiki Bar Cocktail
These are your Summer drinks that you definitely want. The Caribbean Luxe Lit is my favorite one. It’s the colors possibly the colors of orange, reds, and yellow. The flavors are dynamic. Made with Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Grey Goose Vodka, Bacardi Superior Rum, Grand Marnier, mango puree, scratch sour mix and cranberry juice. It’s has elements of sweet with bitter but a perfectly great combination. This is the one that I definitely will grab.
Dangerous Waters Punch
This one is sweet. So if you aren’t into drinks that pack a sugary taste, avoid it. For those who like the sweetness to counteract the alcohol this is your drink. I would highly suggest that you drink this with caution. I am not expert, but drinks like this tends to sneak up on you. So always drink responsibly. The Dangerous Waters Punch is made with Malibu Coconut Rum, DeKuyper Blue Curaçao, pineapple juice, and scratch sour mix.
Spiked Cherry Limeade
This is a great drink for those who really love a Limeade. Like the name, it is most definitely spiked with Tito’s Vodka, black cherry, fresh squeezed lime, and Sprite. It’s delicious with a slightly bitter taste but overall refreshing.
Blood Orange Paloma
This is my second favorite out of the ones that I had. It’s made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Aperol, Q Grapefruit soda, and a scratch soda. It’s delicious and very refreshing. Although there is grapefruit soda there isn’t any a huge bitterness to it. Now that you have ordered your drinks, let’s talk about appetizers.
Barbeque Chicken Flatbread at Dave and Buster’s
If you love a sultry flatbread this is for you. I had to give it a try and let me say, it wins hands downs. It’s everything you would expect and Dave and Buster’s does this so well. The barbeque sauce has a tangy and sweet to it and paired with the chicken sends your tastebuds into an explosive party.
Fire Grilled Atlantic Salmon
I have to admit that I don’t remember the food having this many options. Dave and Buster’s have stepped up their menu offerings. Whenever we would take the kid we would focus on desserts or food like wings and pizza. However they are offering a more elevated eating experience and I am here for it. Made with Louisiana spices this center cut Salmon is perfectly paired on a bed of rice and served with french cut green beans and topped with Cajun butter.
Desserts at Dave and Buster’s
Now desserts have always been my favorite at Dave and Buster’s. However let’s talk about the new desserts that they have. Strawberry Shortcake which is always a fan favorite. It’s fresh topped with strawberries and strawberry puree it is definitely a crowd pleaser.
Cinnamon Toast Crunch Fried Ice-cream
It is just as it sounds. Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal is used as a coating for the ice-cream. Now this has a twist. It is drizzled with Mike’s Hot Honey. It is cool and when the hot honey hits it can at times hit you in the back of your throat. If you love hot food you will absolutely love it.
Big Daddy Chocolate Cake
This is a chocolate cake of chocolate cakes. It’s warmed and is extremely gooey. Chocolate lovers unite!
Ding Ding Ding Let’s Play
Dave and Buster’s is always known for the larger than life arcade. This is where you go and have fun. When I first started dating my husband back in college over 20 years ago this was one of our first Philly Dates. We met in college, Penn State University, and he drove me to Philly to meet his family. Afterwards we spent time here one on one and played games and he won me prizes. Now to look back at how we bring our kids here is a little nostagic. However Dave and Buster’s has gotten bigger and better. From the virtual reality to keeping current with the games its something for everyone.
So grab your friends or family, plan to come and eat and play. It’s really a great play to have the best indoor fun and experience. They have several locations. In Philadelphia which is the location that I went to is located at 325 Columbus Blvd. There is also the one in Plymouth Meeting which is my other go to when I want to travel a short distance outside of the city.
Power up your Power Cards and enjoy your time. A special thank you to Dave and Buster’s and Allied Global Marketing for having us.
