Brunch goals are made at City Winery. City Winery has locked down my wine goals and I’m here to tell you about it. I enjoy my time at City Winery. They have amazing food, great wine selections, amazing staff, and great live concerts. If you remember me telling you about my time when I saw Robert Glasper, you know how serious I am about City Winery.
City Winery Pop Fizz Brunch
It is the epitome of mimosa haven. You get a bottle of sparkling wine and an assortment of juices to make your own mimosa. My husband and I took a day date to experience this and we are going back well before September is out. We had pineapple, orange and cranberry juices. They are poured at the perfect ozs. for your consumption. They made for one perfected blended mimosa. It felt good not only being able to be out with one another but the mimosa was great for us to pop a bottle and enjoy some quiet time. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 12-4pm. That is great for those who want to sleep in but also love to get dressed up and go out out to eat.
Brunch Selections
They have a great selection of food for everyone. I love the variety. We had zero trouble finding the food that we wanted. For one, it was delicious to just share in the experience. Our waitress was Sue and she is hands down phenomenal. It was my husband’s first time at City Winery and he definitely raved about how great everything was. The food is well seasoned from first bite. This is important. I never saw my husband have to use any salt whatsoever. They have a diverse kitchen staff as well as wait staff and it shows in the food that was prepared.
Winemakers Breakfast
This is eggs made any way you want, potatoes, biscuit, and a protein of your choice. He got bacon and he said that it was absolutely delicious. The biscuit was freshly made, warm and soft. The wait wasn’t long either. We started off with our water and wine. Sue our waitress was super attentive to us as well.
City Winery Pancakes
I chose the pancakes with fresh fruit and it was good. You get 3 big fluffy and warm pancakes. I was definitely full and didn’t need anything else. The pancakes are served with warmed syrup. I loved it.
The Vibes at City Winery
Anytime I have been to City Winery the vibes are super chill. This brunch experience was laid back and just perfection. I hate when you go to a brunch and it’s so loud you can’t hear the person you are with. The music was at the right level. I was considering taking the kids and hesitated but I saw a child in there that was smaller than mine and next time I go I definitely think I could take them. The food that I saw would be what my kids would enjoy. I was about 5 minutes late for my reservation and the staff reassured me that they would always make sure that their guest felt welcomed. I love that.
Wine Wall
You can never visit City Winery without going down the stairs to the wine wall. A beautifully purpled wall of wine bottles is a perfect picture spot. So if you go make your way there. I promise you it’s a treat. The hue is just so soft and welcoming.
Dining Inside or Outside
They have dining for both inside and outside. The outside of the restaurant is covered. Keep in mind that the view will have you looking across the street from the parking deck. If you do not want to sit there come inside. The lighting inside of City Winery is perfection for those looking to get their perfect shot as well. Staff will always ask you to choose where you want to sit according to what is available.
Assortment of Wines
City Winery has great selections of wines available. I would suggest doing a wine flight. This gives you an array of Rosé, White, and Red. This is a great way to introduce wines to those who haven’t found their “kind” just yet too. I like to get the wine flight due to it being a way to have options. I didn’t get the wine flight this time but I have in the past.
Live Entertainment
City Winery is also known for their live entertainment. This is how I saw the genius known as Robert Glasper. I highly recommend if there is an artist you want to see, get tickets early. However there have been some amazing last minute tickets too. For instance this week Hi-Five will be performing. The group, Hi-Five is best known for hits such as “I like the Way,” “She’s Playing Hard to Get,” and more. Get tickets for this and any other shows coming. While at the shows you can eat and drink wine as well. Hi-Five is performing on Thursday August 25, 2022.
