I’m going to be pretty honest, I didn’t think I would get to go to Christmas Village this year. Covid has had me inside and with my family. I’ve ventured out only a number of times. I am happy to report that not have I gone but that I didn’t feel unsafe at all. That says a lot for my level of caution!
Safety Protocols
So again safety has been my number one thing. I was reading various stories online stating that Christmas Village wasn’t safe. That the spacing between folks wasn’t being followed. I also read that people were saying how overcrowded it was. Again NONE of that I saw. I saw people being respectful to one another and staying separated. It wasn’t crowded and no one in my opinion was in danger. I personally felt safe. I’ve been more extreme in my dealings with the outside world to protect my asthmatic children. There are several and I mean several hand sanitizing stations all the way through. I was able to sanitize at every shop that I stopped on top of that! I didn’t observe anyone without a mask but there were signs everywhere that stated no mask no service!
Date Night Fun
We haven’t had a date night for this month so this was an amazing time to get out in the cold and have an amazing time! We enjoyed holding hands, doing a little local shopping, and of course eating. I think eating at Christmas Village has to be one of the highlights! Unlike years before there is a food court with tables. We didn’t feel comfortable eating within the food court and walking around. So every dish we got we sat down and enjoyed it while talking and decompressing from the stress that we often have! Anytime I can sneak off with my husband is always a treat!
Local Shopping
If you want it trust me it’s there at Christmas Village. One of a kind gifts priced at all budget points. One of the best things to do is to go to Käthe Wolhlfahrt. It’s an oasis of beautiful ornaments and trinkets. You really can’t help but to smile when you walk inside.
Let’s Eat
Like I said at Christmas Village no one should come in and be hungry! There’s no possible way! There’s something for everyone! From Bratwurst, French Toast Bites to mulled wine-Christmas Village has you!
Raclette Cheese
A fan favorite this warm gooey cheese is spread on some amazing bread with a honey mustard spread and pickles! It’s everything! Check out my stories on Instagram and see the PhilaChristmas highlight to see all of the gooey action!
French Toast Bites
If you have been following me for awhile you know I first met Charisse at the Christmas Village a few years ago. Ever since then no matter where her and her amazing vegan French Toast Bites are I’ll be close by! FYI she has regular and vegan I’ve had both at one point and they are delicious! This time I had blueberries and caramel as my toppings. You always get unlimited toppings and as the saying goes, the camera eats first!! I didn’t get a chance to see Charisse but Ray was hands down amazing!
German Grill
So this is where you grab the most amazing bratwurst and sauerkraut. I mean the most amazing of the two! They grill it right in front of you on a large grill and the smells will get you before the taste knock you out!
Hot Beverages
Its no secret that a good hot beverage is what you need to heat you up on a cold day! Christmas Village has some of the best hot chocolate as well as apple cider. I personally fell in love with their hot cider cream!
Mulled Wine
I consider myself to be like wine bae. If there’s wine I don’t need a reason to drink it. Wine is life! So with that said I of course found the mulled wine tent. Apple or red is your choice and hot, steamy, and amazing is what you get! In love is the outcome. It’s just the absolute best…
All good things do come to an end! Christmas Village ends on Christmas Eve! So you have a few more days to experience it all! It’s a great place to have a little Christmas magic! Also remember if you’re sick or not feeling well stay home. Let’s keep everyone safe. No mask-no entry! Masks must be worn at all times. Keep your distance too! Stay with your party! Use the hand sanitizer often! Come and have some fun!
Look at the ornament I scored for our family 2020 keepsake!
Thank you to Christmas Village for having me! Thanks as always to Aversa PR!
