Chaddsford Winery’s Adult Trick or Treat is the spot to be to celebrate all things Halloween and the celebration of wine tasting. This is exclusively for adults only. No kids of any age will be permitted. Come and bring your friends and enjoy a 5 stop 5 tasting and snack pairings.
What to Expect at the Chaddsford Winery
This event is a ticket only event. No walk ups will be accepted. Once you have a ticket, please make sure that on the date of your tasting to arrive about 15-20 minutes before time so that you have time to park and get ready for your tour. The tour is rain or shine and is a full walking tour on the property. There is also Common Good Pizza on the premises serving pizzas and snacks including vegan cheese options.
Use of card is encouraged. There is also no swapping of times or changes in your reservation when it comes to the tickets. Whatever day you select will be honored. At the time of my Adult Trick or Treat time they only allowed the purchase of wine by the glass but you can purchase a bottle to take home with you. There is also at times depending on when you go bees and wasps that are on the property. Although annoying they do not stop you from enjoying your time.
Wine Tasting Expectations
When you arrive you will be given a glass that is yours to keep. Each pour is about 2 ounces and there are no options to get a refill while on tour. Trust me this question came up during my tour time. You are more than welcome to enjoy a glass that you enjoyed when your tour is over. The tour is a little under an hour and I highly suggest wearing comfortable shoes. You can come in costume or just comes as you are. I had my “here for the boos” shirt and a witch hat.
Wine Pours
There are 4 wine tastings and one beer. The first is Cinderella stop, and the wine is the White Standard paired with Kernel Clark’s Garlic and Rosemary and Parmesan popcorn. The second stop is Red Riding Hood which is the Red Stand paired with Eclat Dark caramel truffle. The 3 stop is Goldilocks and the 3 Beers and that featured Victory Prima Pils paired with Ososweet German-style scone.
The 4th stop is Rumplesprizen featuring one of my favorites, Sangria Spritzer paired with Asher’s Dark chocolate orange peel. It does look off-putting but it is delicious. Your last stop is Snow White, featuring Spiced apple which is warm and perfect for the season paired with a caramel Stroopwafel. Everything was delicious.
Don’t Forget while at Chaddsford Winery
I highly suggest not leaving until you had a wine slushy. They are always a great idea. I never leave without getting one. I also had the Common Good Pizza. The pizza I chose was the vegan Mozzarella. As always it is so good. Make sure you tip your tour guide and tip at your wine and food purchases as well. This event sells out so do not miss the opportunity. It’s a great way to spend some Halloween fun.
Also make sure to take a bottle of two home. They are also doing their Breast Cancer Awareness sell with their Real Men Wear Pink. It is a great way to give toward the cause. In addition, make sure that you purchase the Sunset Blush. A portion of the sales will be donated to Real Men Wear Pink initiatives.
