Love wine and want to celebrate the Halloween season? Chadds ford Winery’s Adult Trick or Treat is your perfect spot. So, what are the things that you can expect so you can enjoy this outing stress-free? Here are the deets to get you ready.

Bee and Wasp Season

They have a sign to let you know that the bees and wasp are still out. If you are allergic like I, am I can happily report, I saw only one bee. Always always carry your Epi-Pen with you. Even if you aren’t allergic, it could be the parent in me, but always have a small emergency kit in your bag or car when you attend any outdoor event.

They are selling out very quickly. The entire month of October on the weekends is this worthy event. It’s held outdoors as well. It’s a great way to enjoy nature as you stop at 5 pairings and enjoy wine and treats. Also be prepared that the groupings for the time slot will be filled with 20-25 adults. So, whatever your timing is for, get there 15 minutes before your time. You will get the 5 wine offerings and 5 paired treats, as well as a keepsake wine glass to take home. Plan to get through the tour within an hour. Also, when you are done you can stay and enjoy your time, food trucks, and more wine of course. At the time of this blog, only Sunday October 5, 24th and 31st are available. Tickets can’t be swapped or exchanged. There are no refunds.

Little Pumpkins

Now everyone has children like me. So, with there are NO children allowed to this event. Often I do my best to not take my children to things where alcohol is going to be. However, at so many events this Fall sites have it available. There is no exception to this rule. Leave the children with someone as they won’t be allowed on the premises. I say that because there will be one or two that will think that they can bring them, and they can’t.

Chadds Ford Pairings

The pairings are so good you will love it. Often people struggle with what to pair their wine correctly. I would suggest using the Internet or taking classes to learn. The fact that I blog so many wine events I have learned from some of the best what goes well with what. These 5 tour pairings are all about the holiday flare.

Costumes are Encouraged

You don’t have to dress up but its encouraged. It was super-hot on Sunday when we went and yet there were many who were dressed up. I enjoyed seeing their great picks. I and my date, Alanda of Cocoafitmom wore Halloween themed shirts. We had a blast to be honest. After the tour we enjoyed the food truck, good conversations, and wine.

Food Truck

I love a good food truck. Never have I been so happy to see the pizza truck had vegan cheese. I know not everyone is vegan and trust me they have offerings for you in that capacity but so often when I am out it’s hard to find what I needed. The pizza was delicious. The only regret is that I didn’t buy a pizza to take.

So now that I have been at Chadds Ford Winery both at their main location at 632 Baltimore Pike in Chadds Ford Pa or the one in Peddler’s Village they both serve different purposed. I want to take my husband to the main location for some adult only fun. I will take my kids to the Peddler’s Village so that everyone in our family can have much to do.
