If you love good Italian flare, then Carina Sorella is the spot to be. Located in Bryn Mawr, PA it is a quaint and stunning spot for your next brunch spot. It has been a long time since I have continued my brunch and eatery series. However, Carina Sorella is one of those spots you don’t gatekeep.
Customer Service at Carina Sorella
Unless you are new here (welcome), I always make sure that I do not reveal myself too much when I arrive on site. I like to see how the company treats others in real time. One of the things that I noticed was before I got there I had to change my reservation. The Open Table wasn’t working for me causing me to have to call in. As soon as I said that I needed to change my arrival time to an earlier time-I didn’t get a push back. If you have ever called a restaurant in their busy times as I called during Saturday dinner rush the folks on the phone can be stressed and come off as rude.
That was simply not the case. They spoke to me with such high regards and changed it immediately. The next day at my reservation there was an older gentleman who came in. He wanted to know about their menu items. They do not have a set children’s menu. They however were able to accommodate what his grandson would want to eat. Did I mention he wasn’t coming in to eat at that moment? His reasoning for coming in was to ask questions before he made his reservation. They took great care with him.
The Vibes inside of Carina Sorella
I am in Bryn Mawr a lot. This has been on my list to try for a while. The outside of Carina is so pleasing to the eye that I knew that once inside I wouldn’t be disappointed. Its stunning inside of the restaurant. Elements of care and color are carefully crafted. Natural light is everywhere making it inviting to dine. I took my youngest with me and she immediately commented how pretty it was.
Brunch Me Please
I must remind people who do not get the opportunity to brunch as often as I do that it is a sport. It’s about the dressing up and going out. I want the full experience. Normally even with my full schedule I pride myself for making a great at home brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. When it is my time to indulge I do it big. Carina made it feel like a full-on brunch experience. It wasn’t about simply eating food not prepared by me. It was about taking care in how I was served, our server knowing the options, and making me feel as if I was the only one in the restaurant but also being attentive to others around me. This brunch experience was everything I could have imagined.
As always, I start off with a cocktail. But take heart for my soon to be dry January folks that they have great other options too. However, the Bellini was worth it. I ended my cocktail and wine experience with a Rosé that was a little drier than I normally liked. This just means that I will get the Rosé champagne next time.
Let’s eat at Carina Sorella
The food is delicious. There are quite a number of selections and spread. I knew it was going to be amazing when my youngest ordered not one but two orders of the meatballs. I have been reviewing restaurants for years. Never have I ever seen her do that before. It’s an honor to make sure my kids can eat more than mac and cheese and chicken tenders. Nothing wrong with that but I want them to see food as an adventure. There will be things you love more than others but not to be afraid to try new things.
I had the ricotta pancakes and the Conchiglie Pasta. When I tell you that the food was hands down delicious, I mean that. My youngest also had the Margherita pizza. I didn’t finish it all because I was stuffed but know that my leftovers were blessed later that night. Now that I have enjoyed brunch there’s just only one thing left to do. That is to come back for dinner. So, stand by. Thank you to the entire staff at Carina Sorella. This is a great spot for date nights, celebrations, reconnecting with friends, kid friendly. Parking is on the street, but I was able to park right in the front. Come hungry.
