Happy Sunday and have a great time for all attending Brick Fest Live this weekend. Brick Fest is where the Lego lovers go. It will feel like an oasis of creativity all wrapped into one.
Before you go to Brick Fest Live
It is definitely suggested that you purchase your tickets online. You can get tickets at the door but the line is long and I would avoid it at all cost. The space at the New Jersey Convention Center is big but there’s plenty of open space to walk around. Wear comfortable shoes. Due to so much open space many kids wanted to run. I need to remind the parents that this is not a good idea. You can walk outside to get fresh air and come back.
Parking is free and I appreciated that. the event is from 10-4pm. There is a cafe on site that serves things like hot dogs, pretzels, and more.
What to do at Brick Fest Live?
There’s so much creativity at Brick Fest. From the glow zone and other stations that allow you to build and enjoy, be prepared for a lot of hands on fun. As soon as you walk in there’s a station to simply build. There are so many Legos on site. If you have smaller kids as always be careful of them. The last thing you want to happen is for a child to choke.
How to Navigate Brick Fest
I took my son since he is into Legos. The experience was great since I allowed him to lead the way. This event is geared more to children although all kids at heart can really enjoy. Take your time. We were there a little over 2 hours. What sparks your interest will determine length of stay at each station. You will have an opportunity to purchase LEGO toys, meet LEGO masters and more.
VIP or general admission is going to come down to what you want. VIP will give you a collectors badge and pin along with what you get with General Admission.
Favorite Parts
I enjoyed meeting Brick Bot. He is their mascot for Brick Fest Live. He was interactive and patient with both the adults and the kids. My son enjoyed the graffiti wall. This is where you can create a messaging or anything else that you want out of Legos. He of course made Spider-Man. We both the fact that they had many stations available. The one my son wasn’t interested in was the Glow Room. It didn’t hold his attention. It could be only due to his age and he’s 12.
Pro tips for Brick Fest
When purchasing you will need a debit or credit card. Make sure you bring your card. They do take Apple-pay. I elected to use that so I wouldn’t have to find my card to make a transaction. My son got a balloon and there are $12 for one or $25 for two. Watch the lines for it. We waited about an hour after we initially wanted it and it worked out well for us.
I didn’t see a coat check so I would suggest wearing a sweatshirt that you can tie around your waist. This prevents you from having a bulky jacket. Go to the stations that you want to see the most first. Work the room in a circle if you can. This way you don’t miss anything. If you lose a child or need anything staff are there wearing a lime green shirt. This will be helpful in identifying them.
Stations Available at Brick Fest Live
There is Architecture, Floor Mural, Mosaic, Graffiti Wall, Glow Zone, Derby Races, places to meet Lego masters, and so much more. You will enjoy yourself. The New Jersey Convention Center is about an hour and 15 minutes from Philadelphia. It was easy to navigate and will make a great day. My son and I enjoyed ourselves, had lunch at Chick fil A, and he slept the entire ride home. Must have been all of the excitement? Thank you to the staff of Brick Fest Live. I was greeted and treated with care. That is refreshing at such events.
Brick Fest is located in several locations but for the New Jersey is 97 Sunfield Avenue, Edison, NJ 08837.
