I had the honor to go to Blkberry Juice Bar this past weekend and it is amazingly good. As a juice bar you can indulge in various juices, smoothie, smoothie bowls, coffee, and bites like avocado toast and sandwiches.
Smoothie of the Month
I was invited to try their smoothie of the month which is called Spring Fling. It’s made with pineapples, mango, peaches, bee pollen, blended with pineapple juice, layered with Spirulina and Matcha dairy free cream.
It’s light and definitely the pineapple is the main character. So if you’re a pineapple flavor lover this is your drink. It’s not overly sweet but perfectly delicious.
Cute decor
Inside is the cutest shop. You go to the back to place your order. Then you can drink it towards the front with the rolling tables and cute seating. It’s bright and makes for a great coffee moment or just relaxing time. I could do a meetup here or have personal time.
Smoothie Bowls
If you love a great smoothie bowl like I do trust me this is it. I had the Blk Bowl. It’s made with strawberry, banana, peaches, orange juice, almond milk, activated charcoal, and it’s topped with granola, banana, blueberry and honey. The bowls are delicious. It was made with care and I really enjoyed it.
Community Focused
Located at 1213 N. 29th Street it’s near Girard Avenue. Being that it’s in the heart of the community I love that the locals can easily walk and get these fresh options. I witnessed many of the customers coming in for coffee and their health shots. Every community should have access to these items. This is a Black and women owned company. I had the honor of meeting Jamisha Ryan’s. She’s amazing and definitely loves what she does. You can see it in how she interacts with customers.
One of my favorite pieces in the store is the sign that says the blacker the berry the sweeter the juice. This was always a phrase that means although Black people have faced everything we always come out on top. Also the meaning is too about loving black skin and people too. I love that it’s in there. For a smoothie store it’s a play on blackberry which hints at the name, Blkberry.

Blkberry Juice Bar has amazing food options. They are made to order and fresh. It’s a cute store and atmosphere. For instance I could see on a rainy day that it would be super cute to read while you drink your smoothie or coffee.
Blkberry should be on your list to visit and patron. You will not regret it. A special thank you to Jamisha and the staff at Blkberry. I most definitely will be back to enjoy some more options. I have my eye on the Aquarius Groove.
