Almost Home is your next coffee and more shop. The vibes, natural lighting, food, and more is worth a trip into Center City. One thing about me is I love coffee shops. This has been my thing for years. Its something about changing your location and working or enjoying your food in a beautiful welcome space. Almost Home General is giving the type of vibes that make you swoon as soon as you enter.

Before you go to Almost Home General
Keep in mind it is located at 2nd and Arch street where United by Blue used to be. So with that being said that means that parking is on the street. I visited yesterday and since I was there before 9am there was plenty of spots within walking distance. There is plenty of places to work, eat, and simply enjoy some people watching. I would highly suggest spending a least an hour unless you are getting your order to go.
Aesthetics mean The world in Almost Home General
If you are a coffee shop person you already know that the aesthetics matter second to the coffee. For me to want to leave my home and come into the city I am not doing that for your run in the mill shop. I want good coffee for sure but I want to sit and feel as if I am in the middle of an adventure. I felt all of that the second I stepped inside. The outside of the shop didn’t do it as much as the interior decorating. When you come in your eyes are going to be met with natural lighting. It was cloudy when we went yesterday. That didn’t matter. The way the windows bring the natural light makes it an amazing time to venture into the city.
Book Shelves of all Book Shelves
I remember getting my new bookshelf in the pandemic. It was time. I have so many books that I look forward to a new one soon. When you step inside of Almost Home, immediately you are met with this larger than life book shelf. Not only is in massive but it is also colored coordinated. I sent it to my husband and reminded him that our next house this is the vibe I am going with. As an avid book reader being surrounded by books makes me feel good even on my worse day. The book shelf seems to be decorative in nature and nothing for you to come and borrow. So leave the books as is.

Inviting Staff
One of the things that I notice right off the bat is how inviting the staff are. From the time we sat and until we left the customer service was A1. Let me also give you some context, it was also a media event. However unlike some media events where it is just media they were also open to the public. As you can imagine it was a lot going on. Each staff member that I spoke to even in their busyness they were complementary and engaging. That makes the world of difference when you think about the potential customers coming in. For me it would be my new go to place to veg out, get work done, and allow someone else to cater to my needs.
Coming into a place you want to be treated well and Almost Home as you covered. If they can handle the many influencers and media personnel with orders, changes, missed orders, fixed orders, and more-they will be ready for you when you come.
Almost Home-Life is too short for bad Coffee
This is one of their sayings and I couldn’t agree more. I am not leaving my house where I can be my own barista to get drinks or coffee that is subpar. So with that in mind, this is coffee worth leaving the house for. They have a lot of combinations that I had never even heard of. Here is what I had and my critique:
The Rose Bud Matcha
I enjoyed it. Drank all of it. Its beautifully aesthetic and the matcha was perfection. It also has homemade rose syrup with your choice of milk topped with edible roses. 10/10 due to it not being sweet. If you like match this is what you want.

Butterfly Lemonade
This is of course beautiful. Anytime you have a drink with butterfly tea it makes it that much more delicious and good. 7/10 I do prefer my lemonade to be a little sweeter but I can understand why they didn’t keep it that way.
Avocado Toast
I love a good avocado toasts but this one was probably my number 1 choice due to the fact that it was seasoned so well that I would get that almost every time I go. 10/10
Some Notable Good mentions
Almost Home is going to make some concocations. The Cereal Latte and the Bees Knees were good. I personally don’t like cereal in my lattes but if that is your thing, you will love it. The Bees Knees has a double shot of espresso, AU honey, cinnamon and you can add some cayenne if you want to make it spicy.
There’s plenty of seating, space to do work, tables to meet friends, and great food and drinks to spark your interest. Thank you to Almost Home General and Aversa PR for having me.
