Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

It’s April which means that its 2nd quarter. With second quarter that means that we have survived the winter and the way we move needs to be different. So how is your 2nd quarter going? For me it is doing well, getting organized, and finding what doesn’t work and tweaking the way in which my plan works.

1st Quarter Review

Have you sat down and went over what worked and what didn’t work? This is the best place to start. I go over this at least once a month. The reason is simple as this helps me work smarter not harder. There are things that we do out of repetition that doesn’t always work overall. So don’t be shy about tweaking your plans. Admit when things aren’t working or causing you more stress. It is okay to start a plan over. The goal is not give up altogether.

When making a plan that you feel that you have to change, be sure to bring over any of the parts that work for your end goal. For instance, I started to end giving full blogs per eatery that I would visit. If you remember a few years ago I would get invited to an event and then turn around a full blog post in less than 24 hours at the same speed that many of the fav video food bloggers were doing. However I found that none of the PRs would repost them, the company wouldn’t repost it nothing. So I decided to end it and tweak the plan. If I liked it or wanted to warn some of the practices that many of the restaurants had that I didn’t like, I will round them up monthly. I didn’t stop writing for the eaterie I did it on my schedule and only IF I wanted to.

Define What Is Important to you in Quarter 2

What do you really want to see? Growth? More work? Collaborations? New Place? What are you willing to do to get it? This means hard work. The work that is required to get to the higher level that you seek. Work. I don’t want anyone to make a wish list as long as the day with no plan to work to get there. For instance, I want more collaborations. In order to make that happen I had to increase my pitches. So yes I will use platforms but honestly you have to be willing to pitch directly to companies too.

So I use my content creator planner. In it I write up who, when, and what I pitch. This helps me to organize and keep things clear. Write out what you are doing and how you are going to get there.

Enlist A1 Help in Quarter 2

This is not the time to live on an island. You can get help with your goals. So be careful who you share things with. If the person (s) you are sharing do not have any tools to assist there’s no reason to share until the dream is done. Too many times we tell people we think we can trust and then get hurt when we find that they aren’t on your team. You need someone you can get help that has the resources or knows of a resource AND you can do the same for. Do not simply have your hand out not be willing to pay it forward.

As you start Quarter 2, get clear on your goals. Keep the flames burning on your why. If you need to revamp your plan bring the things that worked into the new plan and tweak what didn’t. Be okay with starting over without feeling like you have to delete it all. This is for those who have social media accounts. You don’t have to delete. Start posting, getting consistent and those who rock with you will rock with you. Also don’t be afraid to network or do online meetings targeted to help with certain skill sets. Google is your friend.

I hope this helps you in your pursuit of goal setting and making this life all you want it to be. Happy 2nd quarter!!
