Mental Wellness and Self Care Queen

The Philadelphia Auto Show is happening now until January 21st. It’s a great way to not only test drive your dream car but venture into the classics and more. The Philly Auto Show is family friendly too. So what’s your before you go, and more?

Before you go to the Philly Auto Show

The Philly Auto Show can be a a lot of fun but there are a few pro tips to know. If you want the best parking that is also close, consider parking at the lot directly across from the Reading Terminal between 12 and 13th street. It’s not cheap but will get you close. We spent about $36 dollars and were there for about 5-6 hours total.

Coat check is about $4 per coat and is cash only. Many who parked in the lot that we parked in left their coats in the car. Personally the way my temperature is set up I elected to bring my coat inside. Many of the places that we visited inside take a debit/credit card. However having some cash will be necessary.

Should you purchase your tickets online or on site?

Definitely save your time by having your tickets available on the phone. This means purchasing your tickets ahead of time. This is even more helpful if you go during the weekend. After you go through security, there are at least 4 ticket scanning lines ready to scan your phone.

Lots of Cars and Walking

If you have never been to the Philly Auto Show before prepared to see so many car companies ready to service your needs. From General Motors, Ford, Toyota, and more. There are many options from 2 seaters, SUV, luxury cars and more. If you are in the market for a new car you will find that the auto show brings the dealership experience right to you without the pressure to buy. Most of the car dealerships are ready to answer your questions about safety features, electric cars, and more.

There is a lot of walking even with the car show being on mostly one floor. If you are in need of a wheel chair or motorized scooter make sure to get there as soon as possible. They are available as a first come, first served. You can bring your own wheelchair or motorized scooter too. Wear your most comfortable shoe. You want to be able to enjoy all that is to be offered.

Food and Drinks

There is plenty of items to enjoy while at the Philly Auto Show. I of course stopped at my favorites, Lokal Artisan Food: French toast bites. They have both regular and vegan French toast bites, cold brew, and bacon on a stick. The toppings on the French toast bites are unlimited and I enjoyed the non dairy whipped topping and berries. The customer service is always A1. Located inside of the Philly Auto Show are eateries that provide amazing options. You can walk around and drink but I would suggest eating at one of the many tables and dining spots.

This way you don’t have to worry about spilling food or drinks on yourself either.

Favorite Parts of the Auto Show: Track Live

Want to experience the vibes of many of the cars you see? Consider doing Track Live. It’s an integrated experience that allows you to sit in the car while being driven by professionals. The cars will be driven fast, take curves, and more. You will have to sign a few disclaimers and safety forms before you start. Some of the car companies will have separate rules. For instance some cars will not allow you to have a child under the age of 16. Others will only require an adult to sign off. Please be patient with each brand.

I enjoyed riding with Toyota, Ford, and Volkswagen. Each car has its pros and cons. Many of them were electric. I was impressed. Electric cars are absolutely great ways to help the environment but still give you the freedom to move in a way that works best for you!

Subaru loves Pets

Accompanied with the Union are helping shelter animals get loving homes. Many of the animals that were present at the Auto Show were amazing. You will be able to interact with the pets. Be sure to follow the instructions of the handlers. Keep in mind with animals they are subject to availability and the temperament of the animals. They also collect supplies for the animals too.

Custom Alley at the Auto Show

This is when you see the cars that have been manipulated and beautified in the most extreme and wonderful way! The cars are colorful, big, and bright. I would watch kids very closely in this section. More of the cars have a do not touch sign. Because of the colors, lights, and more kids (and adults) are more likely to want to touch them.

The Philadelphia Auto Show is a lot of fun. There is much more to see and do. If you love cars regardless if you’re in the market for one or not is still great to see. Bring the family or your friends as you navigate your time. I was there for at least 5-6 hours and didn’t even realize it. Thank you to the Philadelphia Auto Show for having me!
