Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it. Today is a day for joy and love. I hope that today is finding you in peace. Peace is the gift that I hope that despite not having all of the money in the world or all of the loves ones around us-we find ways to increase peace in our lives.
Today’s Agenda
Remember today regardless if you exchange gifts or are by yourself, that you do one thing-rest. So much running around behind the scenes to make this one day special and it would be a shame if it was a waste if you’re not able to rest and enjoy it. Rest because whatever you were able to do is done. Simply rest because whatever the day will be will be. Rest in the peace of knowing that today isn’t about presents but your presence. Rest in knowing that you are loved and cared for. Simply rest!
Christmas Hardship
Some people are waking up to hardship. Although there are so many people gifting people the miracle of Christmas, let’s be mindful of what we have and how we move. When I was a little girl, my Mom had to get the help of the Salvation Army. I at the time didn’t know until maybe a few days later. My parents was always blunt and forthcoming about life. So it was the first time I understood as a child what struggle was. As I became an adult and had kids of my own I realized how hard work plays a big part in Christmas. It was clear how hard it was to make Christmas the Christmas that children come to know. It made me understand and appreciate my parents so much more.
Storr Christmas Wishes
We are a family that is faith based. We also care about those around us. For the holidays we have always picked a family that we want to support. Although we are blessed and haven’t experienced the Christmas of my childhood we never forget how blessed we are. In order to have our blessed children understand, we do things like give backs. It’s important for our children to learn the humbling message that the world isn’t the same world as it is in our home. We don’t have to talk about kids in other countries when their are kids maybe in their own classes who may not have what they have. It’s important to my husband and I to not raise brats who aren’t grateful. I also never want them to live like they are oblivious to the world around them.
Today’s Goals
We will be having fun today. Playing and exploring. Today is a day that unless we have to we won’t be on our phones as strongly. We will be calling loved ones near and far and wishing them a great Christmas. Thank goodness for technology. It allows us some space to connect to those we might not be able to like my Grandmother. We finally taught her how to use it so that we can FaceTime her. So that is a blessing that she is here for us to be able to speak. We also will eat well today. Christmas treats like cake and cookies and of course good food. Being Vegan doesn’t stop me from eating well.
I wish you nothing but peace and love today and everyday. I hope that you are surrounded by love and peace too. If you are alone I hope that you can find some peace with it. There are a million one reasons you are alone. If that is your case, I pray that if you are alone physically that you’re not alone emotionally. I hope that you are still in joy of the day. From my family to yours-Merry Christmas!
