What a year?! You might as well say it’s been a year because in a little over a week (Lord’s will) 2021 will be here whether we like it or not. I’ll get into my Year run down as I shift into my New Year blog in a few days but for now Christmas is so different!
Missing Family
I miss my family. I miss my extended family members of whom the laughs never stop, the laughs and giggles are always in an abundance because we are practicing social distance. We will not be gathering together. So it’s a Zoom Christmas for all of us. It sucks! I’m not happy but I understand. So with these changes is anxiety and sadness. If you haven’t heard my thoughts listen to the podcast, Conversations with Toi! Trust me I talk about it all. I’m doing the little things I can to keep in mind the long run in mind!
Reflection
As I have been coming in and out of my upset ness of the holidays I’ve been reflecting on my own little family. Here are a few things I’m grateful for:
- I’ve been able to single handily provide Christmas for my family for the last few years. This includes my husband’s side of the family too and friends. Might not mean much but it’s a joy for me to be financially in a place to make moves the way I do. I rarely speak on finances but it doesn’t mean I’m not building!
- This is the first Christmas and season in general where my kids have been their healthiest-so much for the folks saying living in a bubble won’t keep you from getting sick. No doctors appointments and no harsh medicines. Just natural preventative products and good eating habits.
- Christmas has always been a time to celebrate the goodness of the Lord and I’ve been doing my best to stay spiritually grounded.
Love to All
I want to send as much virtual hugs as possible to each and everyone of you! All 3.2k of you that follow this blog via email, the extended readers, and ToiTime community! You have no idea how rewarding it has been to move with you all during this season! If I can offer anything it would be more blessings and peace! We need all of it! Merry Christmas to you and yours! May this season bring as much light to your world individually and collectively!
